CALM (Condition-Based Asset Lifespan Monitoring) is an analytic that takes multiple CMS measurements, assigns thresholds, and outputs a categorization. This output is used then to define escalation, de-rate and shutdown points for specific failure modes. The goal for CMS is to develop these analytics across all failure modes detectable by CMS. The overall process of developing a failure mode is relatively consistent. We take a set of CMS measurements (Static data) and assign thresholds with corresponding categorizations so the ask is that a template be created that allows us to build an anlytic on our own rather than requesting development work each time an analytic is created.
Business Value (GED)
Reduced development time to generate a new CALM analytic. The categorization output can be easily data mined and synced with MCE/Uptower repair modules to inform them of real time asset condition. Eliminates Lifespan development work to implement each new analytic into Lifespan. Eliminates the need for us to develop a tableau dashboard to display this information. |
